Khatma report
My personnel experience. my bike was stolen from front of my house on 30th of sep 2010. i went to nearest police station to register FIR, i reach police station at 8.00 am but the incharge didnt register my case as his duty was over and made me wait for an hour till next duty officer arrived.finally i registerd FIR for my stolen bike...the actual problem starts here.. inspite of havin insurence , insurance company agent ask for chai pani to complete the process bit faster, not only agent after completing the process and submitting the document we finally need KHATMA report from police to claim Insurance.
the inspector in charge took almost a year to give me the report every time i visited him he wld delay by saying court se paper aye nahi hai investigation chalu hai.after few 2 monts of regular follow up he said me on my face hawaldar ko kuch de do kaam jaldi ho jayga.. but from my part my bike is stolen m already at loss y should i bear more.i didn't entertain him or initiated any talks to fasten the process.. finally after 11 months the inspector send me the KHATMA report with an apology letter for not finding my bike and delaying the process.. within i felt really happy and thank him for the efforts taken..it took me year without a bike but m happy i didn't attempt to break the process.i walk with my chin up every time i pass the police station.
