No slot for driving test in order to obtain license!
Hi my friend needs a driving license, as he just purchased a car. He stays in the airforce academy-Annaram village, Medak District, which is one end of the city and he works at Begumpet at the other end of the city. The department for applying for the license is at Patancheru, he has been travelling from both the above mentioned locations to the department at Patancheru in this hot heat, just to keep hearing that there are no slots for the driving tests. On one such occassion as he was waiting for the official to give him some answer, he realised other people were walking in & out getting their work done as they were obviously paying bribes to the agents. Every slot is allotted to the agents, therefore if one wants to apply for a driving test slot one would have to just keep travelling up & down to the Patancheru OR just pay the bribe and get things done. My friend has decided to STAND AGAINST the bribes system, but that ofcourse means WAITING till who knows when....Would love to hear this will change soon in India, currently I am abroad & such incidents make you think twice about returning back to my home country *******
