BBMP wants me to pay 15000 misc charges. in addition to the prescribed 5000 for a trade certificte
I have started my showroom, and i found out i required a trade licence from bbmp.
Fair enough, so i went down to there office and everything was done promptly, and the inspector said he will come in for an inspection in in the morning. I was pleasantly surprised by how prompt, efficient, simple and transparent it all seemed.
So come today morning.I prepared all the documents and got everything in order, the person the BBMP office comes in tells me costs and documents required. The only cost was a DD to the bbmp of Rs5000. and then he happily mentions "important" miscellaneous charges required. WTF?? so I naively ask him how much and for what. for what- i get smile, and for how much the man says nothing much, just 15000.
I want file in my documents and apply, and I absolutely do not want to pay a bribe, in fact I want to fight this out. rather than help me out with the forms, and promote businesses in the area.(which is what i ideally would expect), the man wants to get paid for absolutely nothing.
I am not going to pay a rupee more that what I should, I am just going to give the DD submit my application.
I want to prepare myself for the trouble that they can cause me for not playing ball. What can I do to safe guard myself.
