How do ensure that the building being constructed has all rhe relevant permissions and that it is following all the norms and regulations. In case it is not, what do we do?

Please file an RTI application with the Municipality concerned to obtain copies of the licence and the building plan. You can then check for yourself whether the plan meets the regulations. If it does not, then you can file a writ petition against the Municipality for issuing a wrong licence, or as the case may be, of not taking action against the violation of building licence conditions.
