Amazing Experience in Jaynagar RTO to renew the Driver Licence (KA05)
I went to Jayanagar RTO (KA05) to renew my drivers licence. I did not approach an agent and got all the required information from the RTO website. I downloaded the forms and went fully prepared.
I reached out directly to the RTO and asked him for the process. He verified the documents and asked me to speak to the superintendent.
I had a surprise waiting in terms of getting the "Medical Certificate" from a government doctor and also needed to submit the "self addressed stamped envelope" so that they could post the new licence. These two steps were not mentioned in the website.
With a little bit of running around I went to the Government hospital, met the doctor and got the certificate signed quickly.
After I submitted all the documents at RTO, I was told that I will ge the licence in 2 weeks. To my utter surprise, I got it within 4 working days!
I am exteremely happy and proud that I did not pay a bribe for getting my licence renewed. I also wanted to take this opportunity to talk about such positive cases which do happen in government offices!
