Mr Ramesh is the second division clerk in Vivekananda Degree College, Dr Rajkumar road, rajaji nagar. I got transferred to other college during my graduation, now the peculiar system of bangalore university is that the marks sheet of every exam wrote in this college was sent to that college it self (vivekananda college) & his duty was to send it to other college were i was transferred or to send it back to the university but he keeps my marks-sheet with him and every time when i go to collect my marks sheet he asks for bribe of 500 for every marks-sheet. I have paid couple of times but i get very frustrated & ashamed with my self by doing so. Now he has my Original degree certificate and when i asked him about it he asked me to pay 2000 bugs, and when i refused to pay he is telling that he doesn't have it. I have confirmed from the university that it has been issued. I'm in need of my degree certificate and i can get it easily by paying him the bribe money but i don't want to do the same mistake and cheat my conscience. When i asked my friends & family about this they are insisting me to pay the bribe because they are afraid that he may misplace or do something intentionally to the certificate. When i inquired about him in other places, he owns a lot of property which cannot be a match for his level of income and he takes similar bribes from other students & most of them are afraid to come forward and complain to some authority. I'm in a dilemma. Kindly suggest me what to do? can your Organisation help me. My conscience, self-respect, Degree Certificate and my future is hanging around 2000 bugs of bribe.
