I had to get my police verification done for passport in Yelahanka Police Station. Having heard stories about how the police charge money for doing this work, I was prepared to give the money in order to get the work done. But when I reached the Police station at 8 pm, I met a polite officer who took all the required documents without asking for any money. I waited for him to demand money for the "service" but he didn't. Was surprised, but happy to see honest officers.
