********** Nagar -Police Station - awesome experience
I was recently in Bangalore and had to visit the FRRO office to get my passport endorsed. After a dozen visits, I was then told to get a Police Verification of my place of residence. On visiting ********** Nagar Police Station near Mayo Hall, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the process was smooth. I was asked to provide a letter from my high school and a proof of ownership of my flat. The police officer then visited my flat the next day and signed off on the verification. There were no hints or suggestions in any way for a bribe to expedite the verification.
