No Bribe was asked
I had applied for renewal of my passport on 12th August at the PSK in Marathalli. The officer from Ashoknagar police station visited my house on 14th August. He met my family members as I was in office and gave the list of documents I needed to bring. I went to the police station on 17th August and submitted the documents. As the original officer was assigned some other duty, he arranged for another officer to complete the formalities. He needed a copy of my DL and PAN card as well, but I did not carry it along with me. When I showed him the originals, he scanned and printed the copy by himself as it was raining outside. I was waiting to see if he had any more questions. But he said its done.
I got my passport yesterday on 28th August. This was really a much faster and corruption free experience than my earlier ones.
