I recently got my passport verification done in Rammurthy Nagar. I went to the Police Station and did it. No one asked for any undue payment. Job was done smoothly. Maybe I was lucky. Its the fear of the corrupt officer not being held accountable in this case for not getting the job done. If it wasn't urgent you could have risked not paying a bribe and waiting for the result.
