Police Verification for Passport
I applied for passport in 2006 in Bangalore. It went to Electronic City police station. The concerned in-charge gave me a call on my mobile and asked to come down to police station for verification. He asked me few details and wanted to see my office ID card. He filled the required details himself and said - ok, you can go now!!
I got my passport in time. He didn't ask for a single penny!! This is more surprising considering the fact that I am not a resident of Karnataka/ Bangalore.
Though I don't remember his name, but I would extend my heart felt thanx to him for his honesty.
