I visited the SB II Passport Branch in Mumbai on 22/08 for my passport police verification. My local police station had sent the same to SB II on 13/08 and I now required the passport urgently.
I carried an email proof of the urgency and I met the lady at the enquiry counter (she was in plain clothes - no name tag); she was exemplary – thoroughly professional, very very polite, patient and providing guidance to applicants. She was back from her lunch break by about 135 PM (which is 25 minutes earlier than the official time of 2 PM); I witnessed her handling numerous queries and when there was a break in applicants – she would quickly go inside with applicants which needed to be taken in and resolve / provide answers based on guidance from officers inside.
I appreciate her sense of duty!
