I had to get the address verification done for staying in the rented house. I had all documents and the clerk in the police station told me to bring the house owner, come after 11 AM and so and so forth...had to pay 200 bucks and the clerk even asked me to come in the evening to collect the certification and an offer to have a free tea (though he did not get me when I was there in the evening). Heard all the folks in the same society that had to cough up 200 bucks to get the same.
