Bribe of 50k to custom staff
I moved from the Doha to Mumbai and had a container to move my household goods to Mumbai. The goods included furniture, minimal electronics - TV receiver etc that one would have. No appliances. We also had some liquor bottles & dates (khajur) which we did not suspect would be a problem. The customs office staff Bhaskar Nadekar held our container saying that the liquor was a problem and since it was not declared in advance was illegal. They threatened to hold our container for a substantial amount of time if the bribe was not paid. So I paid them quite handful of money and the dates and got away with the liquor.
