Bribe asked by police during PV

IB officials asked me to give birth certificate of my father, who died 12 years back in Kolkata. We are Indians, born and brought up in Kolkata, for generations/centuries/millennia, and the police threaten us that we are not. I was barred from leaving the PS and was threatened for cash. I had only Rs. 200 in my wallet. They took that and asked me to bring back the rest from home. I paid the money, and I am still waiting for my passport, 6 months gone. Could not take up job because did not have a passport. The irony is that I was only renewing my passport, and PV was needed to check a change in address. TCS clerks were worse at ********** Kendra.
