My story is the same as every other Indian who needs to get a Passport. I applied for it and when the Police verfication had to be done - instead of the Police coming to my house to check if I lived there, I had to go to the Police station. And after checking that I looked similar to the photo in the application, the cop was standing around scratching his head. I asked him if I could leave and he was like, 'there are some expenses in the police station' and he asked for Rs. 200. I gave him that amount because I didn't want things to get complicated.
