Bribe for Police Verification

I checked the Status of my Passport was pending with Police. I went to the police station where my Xerox documents were matched to my originals and i was called at a time when no one else was around. After filling up the police application, I was asked to take out some cash. I had made up my mind not to pay any bribe but unfortunately, I had the urgency and was caught in a situation where i could not resist and had to pay the only 500 rupees in my purse. After i came out of the police station, I thought I will purchase a Pen Spy camera the next time to catch the corrupt :)
