Cops abuse and take a bribe for entering into No entry

It was 10 pm in the night and I was supposed to pick up a female colleague from the railway station, Bangalore. I was on my bike and missed the entry gate at the railway station. I entered the Auto stand gate instead ( unknowingly..thinking this is the entry gate) only to realize later when the cop standing there caught me. I apologised and told him I was totally unaware that this is the auto entry gate and told him I ll go back and enter via the vehicle entry gate. But the cop didnt blink. He first asked for the DL and bike papers which i produced. Later he asked for NOC( My bike is rajasthan registration). When i told him i dont have the NOC, he took my bike keys and started asking for 1 thousand. I refused. He then started tellin me that I ll have to go to the court and release my bike. Then I told him that alright, I will go to the court but he should give me some sort of receipt or challan which i can produce in the court. Knowing i wasnt an easy catch, he suddenly brought down the amount to 500. I refused again. He then started abusing me in Kannada and went off with my keys. In the meantime, My female collegue arrived. At 10:30 in the night, in the dark with a female, I didnt have any other option but to give the cop a bribe. I asked the other cops standing there about the other cop's whereabouts. They suddenly started abusing me in Kannada and asked me to wait. The original cop then appeared. I offered him Rs. 100.But he was in no mood to take just 100. He said my fine amount totals to some 1000. Then I told him that I ll pay the fine, you give me the receipt. BUt he wasnt ready to do that either. He said either pay 500 or just go to the court. finally my female collegue approached him and gave him 300. And finally i got my keys back.
