Customs officer used cheap tactics to extort money out of me.
I bought a model car and a robotics components from hong kong. The total value was INR 17,000. After the package being stuck at mumbai customs for almost two months I had to travel from hyderabad to mumbai just to clear my parcel, since the phone lines and email doesn't work at Indian government services. The greedy office at mumbai fpo asked me to pay an absurd INR 14,000 as customs duty. Where in the world is the customs duty 82%? He told me that if I don't want the receipt of the customs, I can pay him INR 5,000 and get away with it. I wouldn't mind paying actual customs but this is ridiculous.
