Reason: Friend had parked his bike in no parking zone, and the police/local workers picked the bike
The lifted bike was taken to Pimpri Traffic Police Chowki. I reached there with my friend(whoes bike it was) to see no cops dealing with the lifted bike, instead fierce looking Goons were incharge of the vehicles. They asked for the licence and PUC, both clear, then they turned towards Bike PApers, which obviously one does not keep with him always. They started asking for rs 2600 for such offence. We had no means of debating with them as they were not police officials and in the end they picked all then money we had in our wallets and let us take the vehicles. You can cross check with this scam where police is outsourcing their tasks to local goons and giving them the authority to collect fines/bribe. hope this is brought into picture.
