Had to pay 1000 Rs bribe for police clearance (mine & wife's)

All my documents were clear, the passport official was beating around the bush asking unnecessary questions (a subtle hint that a bribe has to be paid). After 2 days of wasting my time, he told me that the report would be cleared after paying Rs. 1000/-
