Had to pay a bribe because i was travelling with my gf...

I was on my way to place called Yewateshwar Mandir near Satara with my girlfriend....after reaching certain distance there was police naka-bandi and i was taken aside by one of the police constable...they asked me all the papers of bike...i gave them all the necessary documents i.e driving lisence,bike papers and PUC.....they took the papers and just went off....i asked the reason for not giving me the papers back then they asked me the relation with the girl...i said she is my gf....then they demanded for 1000 Rs or else we will call your parents...after convincing for many times they came upto Rs 500 and i have too give it because the moment my parents will know that i have a gf they will force me to end the relation with the girl which is not possible for me because i love her so much...please let me know is having a girlfriend a crime???
