I with my group of 9 people recently had a Goa trip. We hired a Swift car on a rental of Rs.1,200/- daily. We were told by car owner to say that we hired car of our Friend anytime if any cop enquires. At midnight 12, we were returning after having a dinner(No one was DRUNK in our car) were stopped bt Traffic cops in Panaji(near Mandovi River Bridge). Even after showing license, all the documents of the car to traffic cop, he argued on a point stating that we mentioned before that the car was of our's friend but later he found that car was on rental basis. He told us to pay Rs.500/- to him and go away. Inside car were 3 girls of our group, so instead of creating issues with cop on bribe, we were forced to pay 500 bucks to him so that atleast girls in the car will be safe. We really do not support corruption at all, but those circumstances forced us to pay the bribe. I remember the name of the cop who forced us to pay him that amount, I noticed his name from the badge he was wearing:

We hope that this is taken carry forward to Goa police, so that it will not affect the tourists in a negative way. Tourists after such incidents loses ********** in such *******
