Had to pay bride for police verfication inspite of having all the required documents

Name of officer - Mr.Ravi. date 24th April, at the indiranagr police station.
I got a call from the officer, asking me to come in with my address proof and other documents for address verification. I had all the documents required but i was asked to pay 500, as he need to give the "boys some money", since I had to travel urgently, I paid the money and left so the passport comes to me on time.
