Had to get license to construct a house in my land >> Checked with friends and family >> Unanimous information " Almost impossible to get the licence without bribing" >> Got hold of a middleman >> Payed 6000 ( His initial expectation was 15000) >> got the license.
History: Dont blame me for bribing...i wanna build a house and live in it. I am an IT Professional just returned back to INDIA from US. In decemner 2010, I approached the same division for getting permission for demolishing the old house in my propoerty to construct my new house. I didnt want to bribe anyone >> Result (long story short) Had to visit them around 12 times during working hours for getting this small job done. Next time...you all know, I payed 6000 to get the jo done...had to visit the middle man only thrice (1. Submit the application 2. addnl docs 3. Collect license)
