The problem of people trying to bypass customs and customs officials harassing people arises because the people are not aware about the rules. The Indian customs officials use that to their advantage.
But I would like to Lodge the Below Realistic Complaint for the general awareness of Public about the attitude of Indian Custom Officials.
Incident Details
Date: 31St. August 2014 at Jaipur International Airport Morning Flight
Airline: Oman air the only Morning Flight (6-am)
Passenger Details
1. Shayeesta Khan (wife) 42 Years
2. Arayan Ali KHAN (Son) – 17 Years
3. Ayaan ali KHAN (Son) 6 Years
I ANWAR ALI KHAN working in a private Organization in Sultanate of Oman and My Family Visiting every year during the Holidays of my kids and this is the Normal Routine since last 10 Years.
This Incident only happens during their recent visit dated 31st. August, 2014 when some Custom officials at Jaipur International Airport fined a very heavy amount (Rs. 20,000) as Fine as Duty on Old and used Gold Ornaments(Ear Rings) weighting only 29 Grams and the same my wife is using since last 2 years.
Officials seriously harass my wife for more than four Hours by Re-Checking of checked Baggages so many times and Frisk the Minors as well but They Did, NT get a Single Grams of Gold but only that 29 Grams Rings which my wife was wearing.
Note: 1. everyone is very well aware that Indian Customs Officers are masters in interpreting rules, regulations, circulars, notices etc
According to their wills and you can see the outcomes as That’s why they fines Rs. 20,000 on only 29Grams of used Ornaments Gold
According to Rule: A passenger returning to India shall be allowed clearance free of duty jeweler in his bona fide baggage to the extent mentioned in column (2) of Appendix D. RS 100000 for a lady passenger.
I would like to draw your kind Attention and to look into for the Positive Resolution for this Corrupt System and to save our hard earned money from those Criminals/bad elements and make my Bharat Really Mahan.
Furthermore my statement is correct &Factual and not just a Story I can Provide all Necessary Evidence/proofs if required
