I am looking to get a plot registered in XXXXXX. The going in rate of the bribe is INR. 35000/- per registration. The officials say they are charging high corruption because it is B-Khata land. My question is if it is B-khata or land that cannot be registered how is it possible to register after paying bribe. This bribe is in adddition to the Stamp Duty Charge of over INR. 65,000, which is a legal charge. This level of bribe is completely atrocious, and outrageous, i m not sure how this bribe amount is shared with XXXXX, and i find it amazing that the XXXXXX has not digitized these services so that corruption is minimized. This type of atrocious corruption would choke the system, hope something can be done before the system is fully broke. I am ready to be identified if required and if this would help in some positive action to reduce corruption, but posting this anonymously for now.
