I HAVE TO PAY MONEY FOR VERIFICATION TO DIB BANKURA

I had applied for passport in Chennai, as I am studying here. Local verification by Chennai police was done WITHOUT any money. When the papers were sent to Bankura DIB, for home address verification, as my home address is in bankura, I got a call to meet a staff. I sent my father with all the required documents. The person took the signature and asked for 600. When my father told that for verification no money is needed, he told that then he will not send the documents. My father was forced to pay. The sad thing is while Chennai police did their duty by reaching my hostel , the WB police neither came nor did the work without money. I know that this became a common rule in WB but still, people should know about this, thank you.
