I Paid bribe to get registration

I'm starting my new business and went to the SSI office for registration. This registration is suppose to be free of any charges. The officer over there was very helpful and helped me fill the forms and cleared my doubts.
He accepted the forms and gave me a confirmation receipt asking me to collect the certificate after 3 days. At the end, without any hesitation, he asked for Rs 200. Nothing else was said. I paid him and he coolly pocketed the amount. Corruption is so institutionalised in India.
I know this situation is going to arise many more times during the course of my business. I guess the only solution for reducing corruption is to reduce the touch points where people have to visit officers to get work done.
