To get my birth certificate, i had to get signature from the RA to my village.I had to visit him 5 times(the place is very remote and is not easily accessible)every time i visited him, either he would not be present in his office or he'll be citing some meaningless problem regarding the birth certificate even though i was following the right procedure..I visited him quite frequently..one day he directly asked me Rs.100 and as i needed the birth certificate urgently, i had to succumb to it.If i had refused , he could have possibly hampered the procedure..and I was told that usually people in that area get their certificates after several months of trouble..
