Needed registration done based on notarized rent agreement

Reported on June 6, 2012 from Pune , Maharashtra  ι Report #1619

The RTO was not willing to register the vehicle because I only had a notarized rent agreement. For some reasons, the RTO only accepted rent agreements which are "registered". The registration process takes around 2-3 days, and costs 5000 to 7000 rs (including a mandatory bribe and agent payments). I chose the lesser of 2 evils, and decided to pay to the RTO, rather than paying the Registration office.
