Paid 1000 Rs for Marriage Certificate

I went to Kurnool for getting Marriage Certificate. I was unaware of actual price (fee). I was asked to pay 1000 Rs inorder to have the Marriage registered and get the marriage certificate. I provided all the documents. Later I got to know others paid 500 Rs. So, now I see that I paid more money than the fee. Looks like ppl are charging from 500-1500 based on your position and lot of bargaining around. I really got angry after realizing that I paid more money that I'm supposed to. It's purely my ignorance and I should've done some research before going for Marriage Certificate.
