Paid a bribe to police so that they do their duty

- Paid INR 10,000
My driver Mr. Sarvesh stole an amount of Rs. 1,50,000 from my office and to report this matter we visited the Parappana Agrahara police station on the 14th of August 2018. On reporting this matter to the station in charge he refused to lodge an FIR stating that this was a non-cognizable offence. After a lot of pressure from us he wrote the complaint on a plain white sheet and said he would take the required action. After two days no action was taken and I with a help of a few other people in the office managed to catch hold of the driver and took him to the police station. The officer in charge Mr. Babu demanded money from us if we wanted to keep him in the lockup and we reluctantly paid Rs.5000/-. He asked us to leave the station assuring that the required action will be taken. After two days when we again went to the station the same officers refused to recognize us and said they were not aware of any robbery case involving us and Mr. Sarvesh. They had already released Mr. Sarvesh the same night we got him there.
Dumbstruck we did not know what to do as the driver continues to roam around freely even after confessing the crime to the police and yet the police are not doing their duty.
