It is the practice of the Traffic cops that if they have to ********** the target they will catch every one and put the fine, if the trget is met they will catch and ask for bribe.
I will you my story, I was returning from my parents house @ 11pm along with my family, the cops stopped me and asked for all documents and gave them and they couldn't find any falult. When I asked for my DL back they said pay me Rs 200, I asked for what, he said driving with high beam, I said I never drive with high beam and asked them to come and check my high beam switch in my car, the were not ready to listen. More over that guy was a 3 star personal, he said pay Rs 200 and go. I said give me the receipt than he said then pay Rs 400. He said Rs 100 for jumping signal, Rs 100 for one way, some thing or the other. Argued for long but my wife and kid said pay him and get rid, so I had to pay him Rs 200 and took back my DL.

You will be surprised to hear that again it happened the same way next week too, again I paid him the bribe. After that I wrote to Commisioner on their website but of no use. Now I stopped travelling that road.
