Paid bribe for agricultural land procedures
Those who have agricultural lands (or farmers) may know the procedures that they need to follow to take various permission; they need to take permission for water supply and electricity supply, they have to go through various procedures for their 7/12 certificate if they want to go for division of land between owners. The government officials (patwari/accountant) sitting to whom we need to submit application for these work are sitting with big mouths that cannot be filled ever I think.
We wanted to have the land divided between our 2 sisters, the patwari said the land have to be first measures they took around Rs.20000 for us but didn't do anything. Then we applied for division on land they took Rs.10000. When the papers i.e. 7/12 certificate was ready, we were called to collect but this time patwari changed so he asked us to pay more Rs.12000 as now this patwari wants to earn from us. One part of our land is filled with trees that we want to cut and sell, permission have to be taken for that as well where we have to pay again some amount.
Nagpur comes in Vidarbha area where the farmers are commuting suicide as they are under debt and not able to pay it. I think other than just not getting profit from land, these government officials are more responsible for putting farmers in such condition to commit suicide. We have to give the money they demand or government will not provide the land with water and electricity. Can't these officials see that these are poor people not having daily to eat, from where can they arrange this much of money to fill their mouth with. These government officials are already enjoying good salary with other gov. facilities still want to earn from these poor people. Can this exploitation of farmers be ever stopped?
