Paid bribe for Drunk and Driving, even though the driver was sober

We were stopped near Ashoka hotel (The regular collection area) by traffic police, out of 5 in the car, 4 of us had drinks however the person driving didn't. But police said that we switched the drivers after seeing them, which we argued for almost an hour and then when they said that they will seize the vehicle and charge any pending cases on it, we had to pay the bribe which was asked. Rs2000/- no bargain, Inspector was Kalegowda. If possible someone crush him if you find him anywhere.
