I paid a bribe for my caste certificate. I had to pay because I needed my certificate so urgently, and also I did not want to go through all the hastles and incredibly long waiting procedures (deliberate delaying of the officials). So it is as much as my fault as it was the offcial who received it!
Now, not only I think that I made a mistake by offering bribe but the institution of caste is unfair and discriminating.
Right now, I am in Europe (Sweden and Germany!) for educational purposes and had the privilege of witnessing the least or no corrupted working institutions in the world.
I would like to work for a free society in India.
