The daughter in law of my sister lodged a false complaint under sec 498 A against her husband my sister and brother in law and included me too unnecessarily only with a purpose of extorting money since i am wealthy. The police came to arrest my sister's family members at 6 PM in the evening so that they can extort money by keeping them in custody So they asked for money to my lawyer. I was spared from arrest then till next day. But my sister had to pay 18000 rs to the Mahila police official at Mahila police station at Jamnagar They take corruption from all such victims My sister is 63 and my brother in law is also almost same age Both retired from services. But due to the framing of such laws by the govt. such police officials have chance to make corruption and the lawyers also are mingled doing such activities. Later i came to know that the Manila police was paid only 5000 and rest was gulped by two lawyers. there is a big uproar against this section of law and Govt announces changes in the procedures too But the police dept in Jamnagar does not listen and behave with the victims as if they are big criminals. How to overcome this difficulty by such victims in the society?
