I had to pay 300 to get my police verification completed. I was not able to get my neighbours visit the police station for in-person verification. Officer did me that personal favor to verify my genuinity.
However, the officer didn't took bribe from other people who were present along with their neighbours. The officer was actually helpful to me. I was in an urgent need and I had to personally visit the police station. However as per the process the police should also visit the applicant's address for verification. This activity wasn't performed in my knowledge.
