I paid bribe to a clerk who was asking it for senior officer to get my service tax registration done. When i visited the service tax department to submit my ST1 along with supporting the senior officer refuse to take the file saying valid residence proof is missing and even she refuse to consider passport xerox as residence proof. Then clerk told me to pay 1000rs and they will issue the certificate in 30 mins. I was having important meeting on that day so i was left with no options. I am feeling very guilty for same and i also know no one can do anything about it because its a circle. you complaint about any govt official and they will keep harassing you by using their powers. They can send you false notice of demand and make your life hell.
