Paid money to Traffic policeman but No Challan reciept given....

I was driving past Y junction towards ********** Chowk in Wakad area and I crossed traffic light while it was Yellow along with few other commuters. Traffic policemen gheroed me and I obliged obediently and stopped vehicle. There was no point in argument as Policemen is incharge there so I agreed that I may have crossed Red Light. (There is no easy mechanism to challenge the decision of traffic police on the spot). First thing they do is to ask for your license and put in their pocket and they you need to follow/chase/request/beg them for next course of action. He checked all possible things and said you crossed Red Light you you need to pay fine and take you license. I asked how much, he said Rs 200/- . I gave 200/- and he returned me license. Then I asked for receipt and he refused to gave that and took the money in his pocket. I couldn't argue much as I was rushing for something important and was in hurry. So the money which I gave honestly to government actually turned out to be bribe.
