Paid Rs 5000 as bribe to get my New passport

I had applied online for a new passport and paid Rs 500 every time(4 times) for the police verification.
Till one year the status of my application on Passport website was "Police verification not completed".
After one year I went to Lucknow Passport office and to know my application status again had to pay Rs 2000- 2500.
