I applied for Passport in year 2006. After one month got call from police station for verfication.In police station he entered whole information on one paper & asked me to pay Rs100 for the same. I asked for receipt but he said the person provides receipt is not in office today so handover money to me.Still I refused to pay bribe & went home. Now starts the real story.....:-) ...Visted Passport office around 50 times to check the status .. used to get answer like come in next week..month../verification pending../documents not recd from police. Finally after 4 month visited passport relation ship office to check the matter & he searched my file after 2/3 round & told me that your house address is wrong.[That was police remark !]you have to pay penalty of Rs.5000 & resbmit the application form. PRO asked for Rs500 for ISCON temple & I Paid the same.No Option I paid the said amount.Again submitted my application & again done police verification. but this time I paid bribe of Rs.100 to police as do not want any problem as my company was planning to send me australia for project. I was just helpless & frustated with the system due to long chase.
