For my mom and dad , the police came for verification while they applied for a passport , apart from the charge they paid to apply for the passport which is officially 1000 Rs per head , they had to pay the person 3500 for 2 people just to submit the application.
later when the police called for verification at the police station , they asked for money , and were not ready to accept anything below Rs 1000 , somehow they were convinced by my parents on Rs 700 , that too very reluctantly ., later the CID came yesterday , the 5 th of March 2011 , and took 1000 Rs for verification , He was not ready to hear anything and kept insisting that Rs 1000 has to be paid if they want the work to be forwarded.
I wanted to lodge a complaint , but as usual , knew nothing was going to happen , and wanted my work to go smoothly without my hassles . My mistake , but someday have to stand against the corruption .. may be this is a *******
