I had applied for my passport and when it came to the police verification stage, A police constable came to my home(Kothagudem,khammam dist.) and verified all the documents,even they being correct he asked to pay an amount of INR 500. When I asked why should I pay it, he said rest of the others pay it for getting their passport.. I was shocked the way he is demanding bribe without fear. Dear police, please respect your duty and the norms you are bound to. Don't make the department to be uncared by the society in future. You may enjoy the money you get right now, but in future it makes you to spend double the amount you have earned illegally.. Keep this in mind..
