Pay Rs 600 to get a birth in any train
I was waiting for my train to arrive after attending a reception of my friend in Ambala. I never travelled in train after 2007. A large break from Indian Railways. My train was late by 4 hours and I had to get back to attend the next days conference at office. A train pulled up and it would reach Old Delhi by 0600am so I asked the TC of AC coach if there is a berth. He said no vacancy initially but on my insistence and when I saw another passenger getting a green signal I also asked him for paid seat. He told "600 sit in berth no XX." these TC's don't take money on the platform they demand money in the train once it has started. Very good method not afraid of vigilance or other raids as it operates very smoothly.
