Police are thieves

Reported on May 18, 2015 from Kharagpur , West Bengal  ι Report #60486

I was accompanying my friend, who was at the vehicle parcel office in Kharagpur railway station. I was driving a bike on a railway platform, I was not aware it is wrong, and I did not have its registration certificate. My friend had just taken out 2 litres of petrol from his bike to parcel it. The police officer Siddhi Nath Pal, he is with kharagpur police, not sure if he's with railway. He came to me and asked for the bike's registration papers for which I told him I did not have. He said riding on the platform is illegal and threatened that he will book a case on me for that. He also threatened my friend that carrying petrol in bottle is illegal inside railway station as it is inflammable. We told him we are sorry and we did it because we are not aware, and said we will leave the station immediately after our work is complete. Then he said that he will take away my bike since I did not have its papers, or else we give away 1 litre of petrol to him. I gave him 1 bottle of petrol because I did not want to get my bike caught and taken to the police station.
