The police had come for the background check for passport that is address verification. I handed over the required document to him. Then he blatantly asked me to call my mother( perhaps he thought i was a kiddo so i wont have money) and asked my mom " You have to keep the police happy,no" .i.e. the usual things police of this Burtolla police station say when trying to elicit bribe. My mother obliged as other wise my passport would never have come through by paying Rs200/- to this police officer.
