I needed to get a police clearance certificate and the officer told the process will take more than 15 days . I wanted it fast and paid him 1500 . I was wrong but had no option . I might have decided not to pay and allowed the system to take its time , but if the police would have created a problem my immigration would have been held. It was worth the pay and get things done . It is acceptable that bribes are paid to stop a person from doing his or her duty but detrimental that we have to pay bribe for some one to do his or her duty.
