I am IT Engineer age 25 , I had applied for the passport at Pune Mudahwa PSK on 19-Aug-2014 and got a message that within 3 weeks police verification process will get completed , I waited for 3 weeks but did not receive any call from police officer and then i decided to visit police station ,it was 4th week and whenever i used to go they said they will call and like wise 4th week also passed,I need passport for giving exam and passport was getting delayed due to police verification.Then one of my friend tell that you need to give money if you want your verification to be done on time, and then i went to police station and pleaded to officer that please do my verification ,but he said that they have not received my file and then i offered him amount of 1000 and after getting money he said to come tomorrow and get my verification done and finally i got my verification done.I know that i made a crime by offering money ,but if i did not get passport on time then i would risk my career,i would have missed my exam.
